Our challenges
At the stage of ageing and bottling of wine, an important element is a proper storage. Effective internal logistics management affects the quality and productivity of winery operations. Our task was to create a dedicated solutions for the winery, which was to streamline the processes of: filling, bottling, ageing and transport. Customer’s requirement was to raise effectiveness of manufacturing process, reducing the cost of handling and operation, as well as minimizing the loss.
Elkom Trade S.A. designed, manufactured and deployed in the Srebrna Góra Winery mesh containers for wine, designed for safe transport of wine from the bottling plant to cellars and warehouses, long storage and ageing of wine.
This solution:
- adapted to various types of bottles – standard and non-standard,
- allows for storing various kinds of wine in an structured way, even for small quantity of bottles within the specific kind,
- protects bottles from damage and eliminates breakages,
- thanks to using shelves and separators, it allows storing several kinds of wine in one container.
Containers save space as they may be stacked up to 6 layers upwards, and the galvanized coating makes that they may operate in cellars where harsh and humid conditions prevail.
